Monofloral Mānuka Honey MGO 300+

Our mono-floral Manuka is produced from our bees foraging nectar from the flowers of the Mānuka plant, Leptospermum scoparium. These trees grow naturally in Northland’s remote wilderness of bush and coastal areas, and flower between October and late December. This honey is usually harvested in November.

The honey is usually a little darker in colour, but there can be a variance in this. It has a thicker more concentrated consistency in texture than other honeys, with a distinct flavour, that is of medium sweetness.

Our mono-floral Mānuka honey is fully tested and meets with New Zealand’s Ministry of Primary Industry (MPI) standard of mono-floral Mānuka definition – combination of 5 attributes (4 chemicals and 1 DNA marker from Mānuka pollen). Read more on the MPI Website here.
